Medical students are eligible for complimentary access to Epocrates+, an important drug information resource that would otherwise require a paid subscription. To create your Epocrates+ account, enter your AMA ME number.
While the Epocrates+ app is deployed to your iPad , as a student, you are responsible for creating your own account.
There is also a free version of Epocrates, which comes with use limits. It may be sufficient for the start of Year 1 if you are delayed in getting access to the full version.
If you do not have an AMA ME Number, you will need to join the American Medical Association. Sign up to join the American Medical Association.
If you do not know your AMA ME Number, access it by:
- Checking your AMA account. Log in to the AMA website. Your AMA ME Number is typically listed in your profile or account information.
- Contacting AMA Unified Service Center Phone: 1-800-621-8335. They can help locate your number if you are unable to find it online.
