1. Know What You Keep
iPad
You get to keep your iPad !
On April 29, 2024, your device will be removed from our Mobile Device Management system. You may notice that some apps are removed as part of this process, but you should be able to re-install them through the App Store using your personal Apple ID. Case-based Learning (CBL) iBooks will also be removed when your device is unmanaged. You can download the iBook from Curriculum Resources in E.Flo MD.
There will be on-site support available on the Spokane campus on April 24, 2024. Please reach out via Slack or email if you experience any issues.
After you have been notified via Slack and email that your device has been unmanaged, factory reset your iPad . If you use Notability for notetaking, be sure to back up your notes to cloud storage before factory resetting your iPad .
Be aware that when the iPad is removed from our device manager, managed apps provided by the College of Medicine will be removed as well.
Slack
Slack is a low cost tool, and we would like you to use it to remain connected to the College of Medicine and each other. Curricular-type channels will be archived when you graduate. We recommend that you evaluate what channels you belong to and transfer ownership of any channels that will continue to be used by your cohort. This is also a great time to revisit your notification settings!
We ask that alumni who remain active in our Slack community continue to uphold professionalism and appropriate use of technology.
