What Is OneNote?

OneNote is a notebook-style application of Office 365. You can structure your notebook by adding sections with topical pages. The app has a light version of word processing and table tools. You can easily insert PDFs and images into your notes and annotate them with your Apple Pencil .

Sign in to Office 365 with your WSU email and password. All faculty, students, and staff have access to OneNote.

OneNote Syncing Issues

OneNote will often stop syncing on an iPad when you change your WSU password.

Follow these steps to clear your login credentials and sign in with your new password:

  1. Open Settings and find OneNote.
  2. Tap Reset OneNote at the bottom of the page.
  3. Toggle to delete your login credentials.
  4. Force close the app. When you reopen it, you’ll be prompted to sign in.

OneNote Passwords

OneNote is particularly onerous about password caching, and sometimes will stop syncing because of it. Follow these instructions to clear your password in OneNote.

  1. Open the Settings app. Scroll down to the OneNote app.
  2. Tap Reset OneNote at the bottom of the menu.
  3. Tap the toggle to delete your login credentials.
  4. Force close the app (double tap the Home button, then swipe up with the app you want to close). When you reopen OneNote, you’ll be prompted to sign in.
