External assessors are non-WSU faculty or inter-professional team members who students may work with through clinical experiences. Students who need these external assessors to complete Assessment Forms in E.Flo MD should follow the steps outlined below.
Choose the Assessor
Add an Assessor
- If the assessor is not WSU faculty and hasn’t already been added, their name will not show up in the Select Assessor box. You can still send a form to them by selecting the green button labeled Add External Assessor.
- Fill in the External Assessor’s first and last name, email address, and role. Then click Add.
Send Form to WSU Faculty Member for Review
- Your assessment will need to be reviewed by a WSU faculty member. Select the Faculty Reviewer, select the course, and enter the Encounter date.
- Select the assessment method Email blank form, then click Send Assessment under the form that you want to send.
- Once you click Send Assessment, the form will be sent to the external assessor first. Once the assessor completes and submits the form, it will automatically be sent to the faculty assessor for sign off.

Timeline
Trigger the forms during your rotation when it's relevant. The Assessment Team can send reminders to assessors, but verbal communication with your preceptors goes a long way.
