What is FS1?
FS1 is a file server that is controlled and managed by Campus IT. Using FS1 requires a VPN connection to access remotely.
Add FS1 to Your Computer

- From the desktop, press Command ⌘ + K. This will bring up the server connection window.
- You will need the file path of the folder you are connecting to. For this example, we will connect to the Vendor List used by the Finance Department.
- Type in the address of the folder you want to connect to in the top field, and click the + button to save it in your Favorite Servers. Then click Connect.
- At the login prompt, type ad\ before your username, then enter your password. (You will not need the @wsu.edu part of your username.) Click Connect.
Windows
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the Windows menu. Type File Explorer ( ), then click Enter.
- Click on This PC in the left sidebar.
- Click on the Computer tab at the top, then click Map Network Drive.
- In the box near Folder, type \\fs1\ and click Finish. Click Browse, then select the folder for Med. Click Ok, then click Finish.
- You should see this new drive under Network Locations whenever you click This PC in File Explorer.
