Word Templates

We’ve created a template with some good crimson (go Cougs!) heading styles. Watch the video below to learn how to use styles!

Using this template and its paragraph styles has a few advantages:

  1. Speed: It’s fast—open the Styles pane, click on your text, click on the style, and it’s formatted!
  2. Simplicity: No more clicking around, tweaking the formatting over and over, and then worrying that it’s inconsistent—the formatting is built into the style!
  3. Table of Contents: Using these styles enables you to create a table of contents for your document—users can see at a glance what your document contains and click through quickly and easily to get to the section they are seeking.

Use Paragraph Styles to Create a Table of Contents

This 3:30-minute video covers:

  • Use the Word template to format your headings using paragraph styles.
  • Create a table of contents and update it.
  • Create a clickable PDF from your Word file .

Once you go through this tutorial, feel free to delete the placeholder text in the template—it's there to show you the formatting options.

Still not convinced that style sheets will make your life better? Check out our blog post with more information about the advantages of using style sheets for your documents!
