We are so pleased to announce that Andres Juarez has recently joined the Office of Technology! You will see Andres everywhere—supporting sessions and events, answering your tech questions in Slack and in person, and helping with procuring new technology tools. We hope you’ll reach out to Andres to welcome him to the College. Read the interview below to get to know Andres a little better!
What brought you to the College of Medicine?
With a background in management information systems and a strong commitment to supporting people, I was drawn to the College of Medicine. I saw this as an opportunity to serve a greater purpose and work with a great team. Also, who could pass up the chance to work for their alma mater?! Go Cougs!
Where was your last trip to?
My last trip was to Cuernavaca, Mexico, where I enjoyed visiting family and improving my Spanish! Nothing beats an authentic taco!
What do you love about living in Spokane?
I love that Spokane is a smaller city but has a lot to offer to its people during every season. Year round, you can find new restaurants to try out with family and friends; fall calls for pumpkin patches and haunted houses; during spring and summer, you can discover new spots to fish and boat; and finally, finish the year snowboarding on Mount Spokane.
What is your favorite kind of cookie?
Double chocolate chunk!
