We’re going chronologically, starting with the founding member of our team: our fearless leader, Erika Fleck.
What brought you to the College of Medicine?
I was working for the WSU Health Sciences campus team as a web developer and knew I needed to be a part of the medical school program as it launched—so I approached the interim dean, Dr. Ken Roberts, about a position on the team. I will always be appreciative of the opportunity to work at such a great organization.
What kind of projects are you working on?
I am working on the building remodel project, as well as some operational planning and project management initiatives. I recently spoke at an Apple conference about our iPad initiative.
What do you love about living in Spokane?
I love all of the natural resources in the area . . . and the great people who love living here!
What is your favorite kind of cookie?
My husband’s gluten-free chocolate chip cookies. I do not like eating gluten free, but my husband makes it easier for me by baking these amazing chocolate chip cookies whenever I ask.
